My name is David, and this is my website.
You might have figured that out already, considering my name’s plastered all over the top of the site. Over to the right there’s a little photo of me so you can paint a mental picture while you’re reading this, although I should note that when writing I look a lot more stern and thoughtful (confused).
I like music, writing, taking photos and all sorts of other things. Some of the activities in the previous sentence you will find strewn across this website.
I currently work for Apple Music in the UK.
Previous to that I was the VP Global Marketing Strategy for Kobalt Music Recordings (who now go under the name AWAL), overseeing the marketing strategy for a range of different artists including Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Pet Shop Boys, Karen O, Nicolas Jaar, Lauv, Deadmau5, The Strokes and a whole bunch more.
Previous to that I was the Head of Marketing for Beggars Group Records, where amongst other things I worked on the marketing campaigns for artists like Adele, Radiohead, The xx, The National, Bon Iver, The Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, Sonic Youth and The White Stripes.
I’ve also moonlighted occasionally as a photographer, and had photos published in the NME, The Guardian, The Sun, News of the World, Clash Magazine, London Lite and also in the booklets of albums by Adele, The Big Pink and The Veils.
